What is a Insufficient Postage Fee?

An insufficient postage fee is a charge incurred when a shipment is received with insufficient postage affixed to the shipment. The fee is applied to the account to cover the cost of postage not applied.

RDC is required to pay USPS for the cost of the insufficient postage before USPS releases the shipment.

How much postage should be applied?

Helpful Hint: When you prepare your badge shipment, please make sure that proper postage is applied by setting your postage machine to the Parcel setting. If you decide to use a carrier to get your shipment returned, inform them that the item being sent is a parcel to avoid any issues with insufficient postage fees.

The cost of sufficient postage varies based on your postal zone and its relationship to RDC.
