Ancillary Fees and How to Avoid Them

Understand the different ancillary fees that exist and the proper actions to take so that you ever see them on your invoice.

Unreturned badges fee: There is a 60-day grace period to get expired badges returned. If badges are not returned within that grace period, the account will be subject to a one-time unreturned badge fee per badge not received. If badges are received after the grace period, a partial credit will be issued back to the account. To avoid these fees make sure all badges are packaged with sufficient postage and returned to 3527 Snead Dr. Georgetown TX 78626 right after the next shipment of badges is received.

Damaged Badge Fee: Each dosimeter contains valuable components that are property of RDC. If the components within the dosimeter are damaged the account will be subject to a damaged badge fee per damaged badge.

Insufficient Postage: To avoid insufficient postage charge please enroll in our EasyReturn Program Sign Up for Pre-Paid UPS Returns or review our USPS Zoned Shipping Instructions to calculate the correct amount of postage needed for your badge shipment. If shipments with insufficient postage are received by the Post Office, this may cause a delay in badges being received by RDC and will potentially result in an insufficient postage fee being charged to your account.
If you have an in-house postage meter, please ensure the shipment is classified as a parcel when weighing the shipment to ensure enough postage is applied.

Extra shipments: Some accounts are subject to extra shipment fees if an order is placed outside of the normal monthly/quarterly/semiannual shipment. To avoid this fee, make sure to make changes to the account promptly so that the badges are added to the account before the order ships out.
