I received a low battery alert. What should I do?

When you sync your dosimeter, you may see a few different alerts. One of these is the low battery alert.

It’s important that your dosimeter’s battery has enough power to keep monitoring you throughout your day-to-day activities. If you receive a low or critical battery alert, please contact our support team as soon as possible. Acting quickly helps prevent gaps in your monitoring caused by a battery issue.

What types of alerts are tied to my dosimeter's battery ?

1.Low battery: The battery in the dosimeter is low. Battery is less than or equal to 15%.

2.Critical Battery: The battery in the dosimeter is very low. Battery is less than or equal to 5%.

Do I need to charge my dosimeter's battery ?

No, your dosimeter will need to be replaced.

What do I do if I receive an alert tied to my battery ?

If your dosimeter’s battery is low, please contact our support team by phone or email, and we’ll be happy to send you a replacement and provide return instructions for your current dosimeter.

Can I change my dosimeter's battery myself ?

We’d advise against this, as it could damage the internal components of your dosimeter and void its warranty. If you have any concerns, our support team is happy to help.

What do you need to replace my dosimeter ?

Our support team will need to confirm that your shipping address is still up to date. Please provide your current shipping address and we’ll be happy to start your replacement.

Do I need to pay for a replacement to be shipped to me ?

No, there’s no charge. A warranty replacement will be mailed to you free of charge as long as you have an active subscription with RDC. A return label will also be included so you can send your current dosimeter back to RDC. Please note that an unreturned fee will apply if the original dosimeter isn’t returned.
