Need to know the easiest way to monitor users and keep an eye on their dose amounts? You've come to the right place!
If you wish to track a user's doses, there are a few options to choose from:
- The most visible will be the Dashboard menu.
- From the Reports menu, all of the reports will show the user's dose information in some fashion, with the exception of the Unread Dosimeters Report.
The Dashboard Menu
The Dashboard provides an overview of any open alerts and dose information for wearers. The Dashboard will be the initial menu selection when logging into NetDose, and the Service tab will be initially highlighted to display any alerts that require attention. Only Administrators and Supervisors will be able to see the 'Service' tab. To see doses, click on the text tab labeled 'Wearer'. Only Administrators and Supervisors will be able to see this tab. Users with the role of Wearer will only be able to see the 'My Dashboard' tab, where all users can see their own dose information.
From the 'Wearer' drop-down menu, select the user of interest.
The dose will be displayed in units that are set under the Account profile sections for 'Service configurations'. The drop-down menus will allow you to select the specific dose type, granularity and number of dosimeters you wish to view.
High Dose Alerts

If you are receiving high dose alerts for a user, you can gain more information regarding the alert by checking the Dose Read History Report for the users in question. The report includes an 'Alert' column that will flag users that are experiencing alerts. You can filter the monitoring period to find the reading that generated the high dose alert. For more information, please see The Reports Menu section below.
The Reports Menu
User dose information is found in several of the reports provided within the 'Reports' menu. Each report has a variation of how the dose is displayed. For basic information regarding the generation of dose reports, please click here.
Dose Read History Report
An important report to check if your users are receiving high dose alerts is the 'Dose Read History Report'. This report contains details about dose readings for users. This report includes an 'Alert' column that indicates users who have received alerts. By adjusting the monitoring period filter, you can identify the specific reading that triggered the high dose alert.
Let's take a closer look at the data, please refer to the image below:

Item 1: Note that the high dose alert starts farther down the page with a high dose reading, but this line shows a low dose with the alert still present. It's important to note that alerts will stay present, and they will 'stack' on each other until they are acknowledged from the alerts page. This will clear the alert icon in future dose readings. In this case, for high dose alerts, the icon will also clear automatically when the dose threshold period expires, though the alert will still be shown under the 'Alerts' menu waiting to be acknowledged.
Item 2: This shows the dose reading that initially prompted the high dose alert. Note that the time span presented is from 12:00 AM to 2:50 PM. This time range may be too wide to determine what event triggered the high dose reading. We can get a better-defined time by clicking on the 'Detailed dose' text tab near the top of the report page:
After clicking the tab and narrowing the date to the event, we can get much more specific data about when the doses occurred:
The Occupational Radiation Exposure Report
An easy way to quickly glance at all dose information for all users is the 'The Occupational Radiation Exposure Report'.
First, select the desired monitoring period. Users that were not assigned dosimeters during the monitoring period will not show up on the report.
Monitoring period dose: This is the dose received during the 'From' and 'To' data fields under the 'Monitoring period' field.
Quarter to date dose: This is the dose received in the previous three months to today's date.
Year to date dose: This is the dose received in the previous year to today's date.
Lifetime to date dose: The total accumulated lifetime dose of the user.
An asterisk (*) means that there was a recorded dose, but it is below the reportable value (defined in the Account profile). A dash (-) means there is not a value for the field.
