MRI Safe Badge Types and Clips 

Badge Types:

Our OSL whole body badge and ORA™ OSL ring are recommended for use when working in or around an MRI environment. TLD (05) ring badges are also considered acceptable for MRI use. These devices are suitable because they are constructed with plastic and ceramic components rather than ferromagnetic materials. The TLD whole body badge, however, is not MRI-safe, as it contains varying amounts of metal that can interact with the magnetic field.

Clip straps:

Uni-Clips from the RDC Store must also be purchased, as these plastic clips are MRI-safe and should be used in place of our standard clip straps, which contain metal components.
